Bridging Medicine and Law

I'm Tracy Edelstein, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CLNC — founder of Edelstein Legal Nurse Consulting LLC. My career has been built at the intersection of clinical excellence and analytical rigor, and I founded this practice to bring that expertise directly to attorneys who need it most.

My high-acuity clinical background highlighted how challenging medical documentation can be for legal teams to navigate.  I became a Legal Nurse Consultant to fill that gap — providing the kind of clear, authoritative medical analysis that helps legal teams build stronger cases and avoid costly missteps.

Qualifications You Can Rely On

Registered Nurse (RN)

Licensed registered nurse with extensive clinical experience across multiple care settings, including cardio-thoracic intensive care, medical/surgical intensive care, and telemetry.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

The DNP is the highest level of clinical nursing education. It builds on foundational nursing science to develop advanced expertise in evidence-based practice, clinical leadership, and healthcare systems — equipping practitioners to translate complex research directly into real-world patient care decisions.

Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC)

Specialized training in the application of nursing and medical knowledge to legal matters, case analysis, and litigation support.

Medical-Legal Case Analysis

Advanced training in medical record review, standards of care research, and expert witness coordination for legal proceedings.

Clinical Background

Decades of Real-World Clinical Experience

My nursing career has spanned a range of clinical environments — from acute care and critical care to specialty and community settings. This breadth of experience means I understand how care is actually delivered, documented, and evaluated across the full spectrum of healthcare. When I review a medical record, I'm not reading it as an outsider — I'm reading it as a clinician who has lived that environment.

My Approach

Thorough. Objective. Attorney-Ready.

Every engagement begins with a thorough review of the facts — no assumptions, no shortcuts. I approach each case with the same clinical rigor I applied at the bedside: methodical, evidence-based, and focused on what matters. My goal is to give you analysis you can act on, in a format your team can use, delivered with the professionalism your clients deserve.

Clinical Objectivity

I follow the evidence. My analysis is grounded in clinical standards and documented facts — not advocacy.

Attorney-Focused Deliverables

Everything I produce is formatted for legal use — clear, organized, and ready to inform strategy, depositions, or trial.

Responsive Partnership

I work as an extension of your team — available, communicative, and committed to your case timeline.
